I hope everyone was able to enjoy laughter, good food, friends, and family over the Thanksgiving weekend. Now it’s time to shift focus to the holiday season. In case you would like to celebrate, here are some of the upcoming parades available for the holidays.

Currituck Holiday Parade – Friday December 2 @ 7:00 pm. Starting at the intersection of Barco way and Aviation pkwy. Ending at Regional Aviation and Technical Training Center.

Manteo Christmas Parade – Saturday December 3 @ 10:30 am. Starting at Manteo High School. Ending in the COA parking lot.

Elizabeth City Christmas Parade – Saturday December 3 @ 5:30 pm. Starting at Westover Street (Beside the Enfield Ballpark). Will finish at WaterFront Park.

Edenton-Chowan Christmas Parade – Saturday December 10 @ 10:00 am. Starting at the Edenton Village Shopping Center.

Elizabethan Gardens – WinterLights – Dec 1-30 Tues – Saturday 6-9pm. “Stroll along enchanted garden paths and discover the joy of the season with holiday lights, sights and sounds transforming The Elizabethan Gardens into an illuminated winter wonderland. The radiant glow of the gardens, traditional holiday décor and fantastical displays are a true spectacle to behold. Festive trees grace the Gatehouse and Reception Hall and a crackling open-air fire warms the Great Lawn.” (Taken from the Gardens website) Adults $11, Youth (6-17) $9, Child (5 and under) $6, Dogs $3.

North Carolina Aquarium – Great White Fishmas – Saturday December 17 2-5 pm. Share wishes with Santa and see him take a dive with the sharks. Seasonal games, crafts, and more are sure to lift your festive spirit. FREE with regular admission!
