A Story Of Christmas Spirit

Since this is Christmas week, I wanted to share a local story of spreading Christmas cheer. A homeless Norfolk man, Neal Shytles, had put out a request in November that he just wanted a family to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with. He received a response, enjoyed the holiday, and it awoke a desire to help other homeless individuals in his community. He created a Facebook page, asking for donations. He received so much, he was able to give out hundreds of bags filled with goodies to other homeless individuals spending the holidays at the UnionMission Shelter. Socks, snacks, and hand warmers were among the contents of the bags. His goal was to pass along the goodwill shown to him in hopes that it would bring some cheer for the holidays.

Wishing you and yours Happy Holidays!
